Made it back east

Hello! Hey so my address is
600 Trabar Dr. Apt #23
St. Clairsville, OH
43950
Feel free to write me :) My P day will be Monday, but President Johnson said we could email home so you could have our address if you were wanting to send anything for Christmas. Just so you know, our Ward is in Whelling West Virginia, but we live in St. Clairsville Ohio, we have been crossing the Ohio river everyday, and there are us and some elders in this ward, they have the WV side and we have the Ohio side. Anyways, I'll email Monday with more details and such, but I love you and miss you!

First Day! (12-4-14)

Hello! How are you doing? Miss me yet? Haha. Anyways, I just woke up after my first night at the MTC, and so far so good! Yesterday after you dropped me off, the sister who was showing me around picked up another sister as well and it was Anela Hansen! So we got to go around together for a little and I have actually seen her a lot more than I thought I would. Anyways, after putting my stuff away I went to my classroom and "met" my companion, her name is sister Amendola! Haha, yes David was right, it's really hard not to call her by her first name. We then had a devotional/welcome with the MTC presidents. After that we had dinner, I was still kinda nervous so I didn't eat much, but  it was good, and then the new missionaries all got in big groups to meet with some investigators, which I think we are doing again today. Then we met with our zone leaders, they are awesome, then we came back and got ready for bed and such. I had a hard time falling asleep, probably because I'm not used to going to bed as early, and I also woke up early. So I found out my Pday will be Thursday, but obiously not this week, we don't have one, so expect an email then. Also, feel free to send me addresses of family so I can write to them. Anyways, just thought I would write you how my first day went. It doesn't really feel like I am on a mission yet. It's more like college mixed with girls camp. I've heard it's kind of like EFY, but I don't know...Anyways, I love you! Have a wonderful day!

Love,
Sister Jessica Marie Oliver

A few days ago.

Not sure why the pictures are sideways.... but yeah not sure how to fix that. I made my mom cut it on Chirstmas day so it has been just over 2 months. Also my mom found a piece of my hair from another time I l donated it so I decided to save a piece this time as well! The left is this time, and right was years ago.

Yup. I was just ready for a change and was getting tired of taking care of such long hair. I will probably grow it back out again now and when it gets super long again chop it again.

Schedule My Life

It's crazy how much changes when you grow up. "What college do I go to? What should my major been? Should I go on a mission? What do I want to do with my life?!?!" These have all been questions that I have asked myself... more than once... and when I have made a decision I think about whether or not I have made the right choices. This is why I am glad to have the gospel in my life. Though at some times I may slack of in the things that I need to be doing I know that my Heavenly Father is always there for me. I have learned that I don't know what the schedule is for my life, but I do know that I can take life one day at a time. Enjoy the little things in life rather than focusing so much of my attention on the future. I know that I can put my full trust in the Lord and everything will be ok. :) PS In case you were wondering.. I am currently going to SUU and have just scheduled my classes for next semester. My major at the moment is pre-nursing, still not sure if that is going to change or not. I am planning on preparing to go on a mission, but when the time comes that I can actually turn in papers I will hopefully have a definite decision. Oh and What am I going to do with my life? I am going to live it!!! :) Thanks for reading, Have a FANTASTIC day!!!

This is my month!

So I have recently decided that I will be taking this month to get into the best shape of my life. I want to not just look good after this month, but also feel good. I know, I know... Halloween is coming up.. how am I suppose to resist the candy?! BUT I CAN DO IT! I have a roommate who is allergic to sugar (gives her bad headaches) how she does it? I am not sure, but I WILL do it for at least this month. Plus November there will be Thanksgiving, and then December will be Christmas and I want to be able to do it before the end of the year. Everyone is always waiting until a new year to start over with the whole being healthy thing.. but why not just start now? I don't just want to become physically strong, but also mentally and spiritually strong. I have really been slacking off a bit, waiting until the last minute to do homework, or not doing it to my fullest potential, but I want to change that and be a great student. I also want my prayers and scripture study to be more sincere and meaningful. Anybody is free to join me, lets make the best of our lives!

Pewter and such

Hello everyone! Just a few updates. First of all, I have been at college for almost 3 weeks now! I am still trying to figure out if I am liking it, but the social aspect of it I am liking. I have meet more people, and say "hi" to people just walking to class a lot more than I am used to, but I love it! I also have some awesome roommates, and we tend to get along quit well so far! I am sure that we will all become really close friends as the year goes on. Also, at school pretty much every homework assignment, and quiz, and essay, and whatever else.. is online, soooo I got a computer! Fun little story (to explain the name of this post), I had to come up with a name for my computer, and I was having a tough time thinking something up. I then asked Spencer (my nephew) what he thought I should name it. Him and his creative side came up with pewter pewter, but I decided to call it pewter for short.. But yeah! I have only had it since Monday and have done many things on it! Such as write this post! Well that is all for now! Have a wonderful day!!!

College Life.

A few weeks ago I moved out to college. I came early in search of a job, and have only gotten a very part time job as a model.. haha. Yeah still need to work on getting one obviously. I am all moved into my apartment and have some awesome roommates. School still hasn't started and wont officially start until Monday, but this week I have been doing "flight school". No not to be a pilot. I was to orient us to the school. I went in with low expectations, and was very impressed by how much I enjoyed it! There were some very funny, and motivational speakers, and we walked underneath the bell tower, and did a bunch of other things. I am kind of starting to get used to the place, and I am definitely missing home, but I am sure I will have a great year!
